I moved from my 3,000 square foot home in which we had lived for sixteen years into a retirement community apartment of 1279 square feet. Lisa was invaluable as my interior decorator. First, she went above and beyond the tasks of interior decorating by actually helping me select the apartment based on the street view. Lisa suggested the apartment on floor nine in which a view of the parking lot across the street was nicely blocked.

Although I did not want to look at the parking lot, I had not noticed the different views from the floors on which I had a choice. Second, Lisa wisely used and artfully placed furniture that I owned. I only had to buy one new piece of furniture, a bed, and I later elected to treat myself and buy a kitchen table.

Her aesthetic judgment and suggestions were “on target” every time – the warmth of the paint color, the type and color of the kitchen counter, placing an oriental runner in the kitchen, advising against a rug in the living area because lit was “busy” enough. Every time, I could trust and value her judgment. Personally, Lisa is a delight to work with. She makes her opinions known in a way which leaves the client free to make the final decisions. She works well with other professionals. For my job, this included the head of environmental services in my building and the lighting designer I also hired.

For all of these reasons, I highly recommend Lisa Haney Jones for the superior job she does and gracious manner in which she works with clients.

A little over a year ago, Lisa Jones helped me down size from a 3,000 square foot house to a 1,000 square foot apartment at Horizon House. She made a floor plan for the furniture I should take with me and had the rugs cut down to fit. In addition she planned a walk in clothes closet, other closets for storage and bookcases for books, TV, knickknacks and storage for painting. She sensed my tailored taste and her designs featured this. I only had to buy one new piece of furniture.

She supervised the workmen with the revision with skill and tact. It all went harmoniously. Upon moving the furniture was well proportioned to fit the rooms, but at the same time was reminiscent of my house. She came two days after the move and personally hung all my pictures in an interesting way. I have changed nothing since the move!

Lisa has basic good taste and is, at the same time, sensitive to the client’s preferences. She is at all times courteous, not pushy, and a pleasure to work with. Her estimates are reasonable. It is a pleasure working with Lisa at all times, and I would give her my highest recommendations for my downsizing project.

Lisa Jones was indispensable to us in achieving the ambiance for which we aimed when planning a move from Southern California to a high-rise apartment in downtown Seattle. She was an effective long-distance liaison between us and our contractors, assisting us in ordering renovations and interceding when necessary to assure that our desires were fully met. This varied from structural changes to re-decoration and furnishings. Lisa’s congenial personality, design expertise, and taste assured that our goals were beautifully carried out.
